After creating your account, you will find your unique partner code on the Home screen. Share this code with your partner via text, email, or any messaging app. Your partner taps "I have a code" during onboarding (or goes to their Profile to enter it) and types in your code. Once accepted, your accounts are linked and you will see each other's names on the Home screen. You can only be connected to one partner at a time.

Your Connection Score is a measure of how actively you and your partner are investing in your relationship through the app. It is calculated based on several factors: your answer streak (consecutive days both partners answer), total questions answered together, consistency over time, completed assessments, and engagement with features like emotion check-ins and weekly reflections. Think of it as a fitness tracker for your relationship -- the more you show up, the higher it goes.

Date Night is like a dating app, but for date ideas instead of people. The app shows you nearby restaurants and at-home date ideas one at a time. Swipe right (or tap the heart) on ideas you like, and swipe left to skip. Your partner does the same independently. When you both swipe right on the same idea, it is a match! Your matches appear in a shared list so you can plan your next outing. The feature uses your location to find nearby venues, and you can filter by category and distance.

Question Packs are themed bundles of deeper questions that go beyond the free daily question. Each pack focuses on a specific topic -- like Deep Talk, Spicy, Nostalgia, Dream Life, Would You Rather, and more. They are perfect for date nights, road trips, or anytime you want to explore a specific area of your relationship. Question Packs are available with a Premium subscription.

Connected uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze your answers over time and generate personalized relationship insights. The AI looks at patterns in how you and your partner respond -- what you agree on, where you differ, communication tendencies, and recurring themes. Insights are delivered periodically and get more personalized the more questions you answer. Your data is sent securely to Anthropic's API and is not used to train their AI models. AI Insights are a Premium feature.

Yes! While Connected is designed for couples, several features work great solo. You can answer daily questions on your own as a personal reflection practice, track your emotions with Emotion Check-Ins, build a personal bucket list, and explore some assessments independently. When you are ready to connect with a partner, your history and progress carry over.

Each day, both you and your partner receive the same question. You each answer independently -- you cannot see your partner's answer until you have submitted your own. Once both partners have answered, you can reveal each other's responses. This creates a fun daily ritual of discovery and ensures honest, uninfluenced answers. A new question appears every day at midnight in your local timezone.

Couple Assessments are research-backed quizzes that help you understand key dimensions of your relationship, such as your love language, conflict resolution style, attachment patterns, and communication preferences. Both partners take the assessment independently, and then you receive a combined report showing how your styles interact. Assessments are a Premium feature and new ones are added regularly.

Weekly Check-Ins are guided reflections you and your partner complete together at the end of each week. Think of it as your relationship's "State of the Union." You will reflect on highlights from the week, anything that felt off, gratitude for each other, and intentions for the week ahead. It is a structured way to stay aligned and address small issues before they become big ones. Weekly Check-Ins are a Premium feature.

Currently, partner pairing is permanent within the app. If you need to unlink from a partner, please contact our support team at support@connectedcouples.app and we will assist you.

Connected Premium subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. To change your plan, cancel, or check your renewal date, go to your iPhone's Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and select Connected. You can also manage your subscription from within the app by going to Profile and tapping on your subscription status.

You can request account deletion by contacting us at support@connectedcouples.app. All your data -- including answers, partner notes, assessments, and push tokens -- will be permanently removed within 30 days. Please note that this action cannot be undone.

Yes. Your answers are only visible to you and your linked partner. We do not sell your data. All data is encrypted in transit and stored securely with row-level security policies. AI-powered features use Anthropic's Claude, which does not retain or train on your data. Read our full Privacy Policy for complete details.
